Peter N. Chase, CPA, CGMA began his career in 1967 with the accounting firm of Ernst & Young. During this time he also served a tour of duty in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of captain. In 1973 Mr. Chase took a position with a large Arlington, Virginia CPA firm where he served as the shareholder responsible for Accounting and Auditing, Management Advisory Services, and Practice Development. In 1982, after nine years with that firm, Mr. Chase founded CHASE AND ASSOCIATES CPAs, PC in Manassas, Virginia.
Mr. Chase has been recognized within the CPA profession as having wide-ranging expertise and has served on the American Institute of CPA's (AICPA) Accounting and Review Services Committee, AICPA Private Companies Executive Committee, AICPA Management Advisory Services Executive Committee, AICPA Specialization Board, and AICPA Management Advisory Services Practice Standards Committee. He has also served on the Virginia Society of CPA's (VSCPA) Board of Directors and as President of the Northern Chapter of VSCPA.
Mr. Chase is also a Certified Global Management Acccountant.
Mr. Chase believes that it is important to contribute to the community, as well as to the profession to which he belongs. He has served as Chairman of the Prince William United Way Campaign. He has also served as Chairman of the Prince William Business Council, as a member of the Prince William 66 Partnership and as an officer of the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Manassas Host Lions Club.
